I need to get food here more often I love to get a plate of brisket with the bbq beans and the bbq spaghetti I need to try more sides and they’re meats are really good staff definitely cares about customers and food being served on point come by and get some food definitely recommend don’t miss

Down in Tracy for some BBQ ribs from Shorter's ..and I had to help out my pals Cap Rickorn and Sagh Atearious out at the Star Gazer Ranch, helping them lay out the rebar for a pad for the Hyperloop Thingamajig and the 4 big Cummins diesel engines that power the phase converters. Cap tells me it's for vaporizing varmints, and coyotes, but I think it's much more than that because they'll be kicking out about 100 megawatts of electricity. All I could do is make sure I didn't leave finger prints, and say... pass the Ribs! Man-O-Man the food from Shorter's BBQ was Amazing!

I wanted a last min spot to grab lunch, and this place did not disappoint I got the pulled pork sandwich lunch special with a small side of greens. My mistake!! I'll get the large side of greens next time. I feel so lucky that this is only 11 min away from my job. You want some tasty, savory, portioned well food? This is the spot! The building looks a Lil old, but the people in it totally make up for it. The cashier was very polite and attentive. The cooks in the back sounded like they were enjoying their time there. The inside did not have a lot of seating. Parking lot is spacious. All and all I'm coming back! For lunch and hell maybe dinner after work

As my Grandma would say it “ oh my lan that was good”! Ive been looking for some yummy macaroni and this place had it. Hit the spot just right. Chicken was fabulous tons of meat on the bone and bbq sauce was lit!!! Will be back next time I visit Tracy

I have a hard time with BBQ places that are recommended by skinny people. Especially the last couple places that I've been to that had their trophies displayed made me question where in the world did they compete because it tasted old and nasty. I make my own rubs and smoke my meats using real wood like real pit masters should. As a fat guy who loves BBQ I have a checklist of things that I look for to be called great BBQ. Hands down Shorter's got me. I have been hesitant even though I've seen the big smoker in the front. My go to on a menu is pulled pork. My God it was fantastic. The sweet and tangy BBQ sauce covering the perfectly slow smoked pork is amazing. The price was just right and the pulled pork nachos were a hit with my kids. Normally, I'll take my time to take pictures and eat slowly to savor the flavor but there was no savoring nothing. I was almost done before I realised I hadn't taken any pictures. By the time I got to the nachos my kids had cheese and bits of pork stuck to their face as they were shoving it in. If you're in the area you should definitely stop in. I'll be working my way around the menu real soon. In my book a restaurant is quality when you start craving it out of the blue. I'll be going there after I pick up my kids from school. Who knows, we might just blow a few games while we're there. They also bring the food to your lane which is a plus.

Friendly people, the food was good and their homade BBQ was good. I got their Tri tip sandwich. Just alone like that it was satisfying. Definitely have to come back and try other items on the menu.

Our first time getting BBQ here. Rating could go up to 5's after dinner tonight. Update an hour later... Shrter's You're our new spot! First off- when we got home with our BBQ -folks- they were still steaming Ribs aren't ribs without a little mess right!? These aren't fall of the bone kine tender-but well cooked ribs DON'T need to be. The flavor from the smoker and the BBQ sauce were perfectly matched! Next up- Brisket! Stay tuned!

I ordered catering for a 130 person event. The chicken and ribs with the yams made you wanna slap yo mamma! The price on them makes this the best deal in town easy. If you're considering this spot for catering get it, my wife and i were getting stupid 20-40 per person plate quotes everywhere else. Here the owner walked me through what I'd need. The numbers were spot on, My wife and I, but more importantly our guests were real happy with the meal!
